Motto
“Verbi Lumine Illustrare”
“To Illuminate with the Light of the Word”
Rooted in the living Word of God, the motto Verbi Lumine Illustrare expresses the heart of the National Catechetical Centre’s identity and mission. It signifies the Centre’s commitment to allow Sacred Scripture—received within the living Tradition of the Church—to enlighten minds, form consciences, and transform lives.
By illuminating every stage of faith formation with the light of God’s Word, the Centre seeks to guide catechists, children, youth, and adults toward a deeper encounter with Christ, the true Light of the world. This illumination is not merely intellectual, but spiritual and pastoral, leading believers to discern God’s will, to live the Gospel authentically in daily life, and to become joyful witnesses who reflect the light of Christ in their families, communities, and society.
